Re: Vintage degradation of sound

Yes, there is a LADSPA effect by Steve Harris called "Vynil" It is available from here: http://plugin.org.uk/ladspa-swh/docs/ladspa-swh.html#tth_sEc2.109 (see top of that page for download link) For more information about plug-ins and how to use them: http://audacityteam.org/download/plugins

Re: effects not working

Does your new sound card work with other programs (for example, can you record with Windows Sound Recorder?) If that's all OK, go into Audacity Preferences from the Edit menu. If Windows Sound Recorder works, then set the recording and playback devices in Audacity to "Microsoft Sound Mapper&quo...

Re: Record stops after 0.6 seconds.

Re: 1.2.6 Cursor Stuck!!

Re: latency problem

Go into "Preferences" from the Edit menu and go to the "Audio I/O" tab. Switch off (de-select) "software playthrough". If you can no longer hear your input, go back to the SB Mixer/Control Panel and enable the playback volume for the Line input. Back to the "Audio ...
