Re: Fixing variable sound level (DJ Mix)

Re: FFMPEG lib - preference setup error

The best place for this post would probably be "> Audacity Unstable (1.3.x) > Mac OS X"

There is already a topic about this issue, and it looks like it has now been resolved: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7245

Re: Ubuntu 8.04 sound

2. I don't have clue how audio works in Ubuntu / Audacity - major problem! And a problem that is well known to Linux users. The problem is that sound card manufacturers do not create drivers for Linux, so we have to use generic drivers and a general purpose interface. The old sound system in Linux ...

Re: Even the basics confound me! I currently

Just out of curiosity ...when you import the pure hiss file. How does that become "attached" to the new file that you are trying to de=noise? The imported "pure hiss" clip will be loaded as a second (very short) track. Once you have finished with it, you can delete it (click on ...

See how it runs when you have more RAM. For Windows XP I would recommend at least 51...

Not R wrote:If the values contain any non-ASCII characters, 1.3.6 writes ID3 tags with encoding that Windows Media Player chokes on. I don't like WMP much more than anyone else, but I don't want to cut out half my audience over a trivial text-encoding issue.
Use normal characters only?

Re: Error message while attempting to record

I have no idea where the input device settings are nor where the project sample rate is! In the "Edit" menu, select "Preferences" then look in the "Audio I/O" tab for the playback/recording devices and look in the "Quality" tab for the default sample rate. If...
