Re: rpmseek unresponsive
There is a rather old version of Audacity available here: http://yarrow.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=73 I've not tested it, and it is a very old version - can you not install it from a package manager program? If not then you would probably be better to build it from source (or use a different Linux di...

Re: Vista - can't export MP3
I don't have Vista, so I can't try it, but it may be worth trying a different version of Lame - do you have the latest version from the main Audacity web site?

Re: Ubuntu 8.10: blue snowball usb mic and audacity 1.3.5
Quite a few people seem to have problems with snowball mics in Windows as well, but at least the company offer some support for Windows (IIRC Snowball mics are unsupported on Linux). My only suggestion is that you could try changing Audacity's preferences to use a different default sample rate - I d...

Re: Cutting the Drum Track??
My answer would be "no", but do have a go with Voice Trap and Extra Boy, you may get better results than I expect.jazzdrummer25 wrote:Is there a way I can cut the drum lines out of an mp3 recording? If so, how? Cheers

Re: How do I turn a .wav file into an Audacity project file?
To get audio files into Audacity projects you need to "Import" the files. To get audio files out of an Audacity project you use "Export". At the top of the forum there are links to Tips and Tutorials that will quickly get you back up to speed with Audacity. Also, I would recommen...

Re: add a feature (chord generator)
so your saying, that i code my expected feature plug-in as nyquist file then embed it into a audacity? either you use unicode or stable type audacity , right? The beauty of using Nyquist is that you can use it to write plug-ins and then just copy them to the Audacity plug-in folder. They do not hav...

Re: clipping at +/- 0.5
I found another person with this problem on the forum, Nov 2 2007 - clipping audeo input problem. The solution there was to change the audacity setting from recording mono to stereo. And it seems to work. So thats what I am going to do. Does seem a bit strange but there we are. That's not really a ...

Re: Help?
I'm not sure if websawner will allow you to upload files. The basic way to do it is to upload the file to some webspace - it can be your webspace, or one of the many upload sites that allow direct linking, then in your web page, create a link to the MP3 file. If you are interested in learning a bit ...

Re: disabled mixer
Do you mean the "Mixer Toolbar"?
You can turn that on/off by going to the "View" menu and selecting it in the "Toolbars" section.
