If anyone still has any more ideas on getting a Win98 Audacity up and running
Is there a reason why you need to run Windows 98?

micro power PS400 transmitter.
Is that the Behringer PS400 (Phantom Power Supply)?
How is it connected to your computer? (The Behringer PS400 only has "XLR" out which is not directly compatible with a normal computer.)

Re: Clicking noise when recording

There are many things that can cause clicky play and/or clicky recording. Clicks will occur if the computer is unable to keep up with the audio stream "for any reason". -for some unknown reason when I tried again the problem did not exist. That's probably a good clue. A common reason for t...

Re: Windows 10 Audacity: No way to convert 48 khz wav to 44.1 khz wav

I've followed all the instructions online Ignore YouTube and the like - they are frequently wrong. Try the Audacity manual instead: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/selection_toolbar.html#rate Project Rate (Hz) The sample rate for the project, by default this is set to 44100 Hz. Re: Cannot intall ACX-Check PlugIn for Catalina

I can't find an ACX check plugin that isn't just a TextEdit file of code. How do I install that? That can't be right. As DVDdoug wrote, and surprising as it may appear, that is right - Nyquist plug-ins are just text files but with a ".ny" file extension rather than a ".txt" file...

I know there's a record function in Teams
I think the correct "technical" answer to your question is to use the record function that is built into Teams.

Re: Export custom wav file headers

I am currently using Audacity 2.1.2. That's a very old version. The current version is 2.4.2 https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ Audacity does not support custom headers. When exporting, Audacity will create a file that has standard headers that conform to the format standard specificati...

Where do I find the desktop file on Fedora?
Try
"/usr/share/applications"
(That's where they are in Ubuntu)

I'm using linux via chrome os which while not supported directly, does appear to work - with the exception of the cursor bug.
version 2.4.2
installed via flathub/flatpak
That's not the same issue. Chrome OS does not use Wayland.
