Re: Slow Forum
A couple of weeks ago I noticed a similar issue, but only on one day and it's been OK here since then. (UK - Midlands)

Re: Shifting Multiple Tracks Together
In 1.3 the is a new Link Tracks tool (icon is a little chain) to assist with this process. That's a new feature in 1.3.6 and is not available in earlier 1.3 versions. One little note about that - there is a known bug that can mess up Nyquist effects (lowpass/highpass filters, crossfade,...) when yo...

Re: Audacity Crashed - recovered manually
as Steve says 1.3.x is still quite capable of crashing - however I use it all the time, I have not used 1.2 for many, many months now. I am using 1.3.6 and I find that quite stable for what I use it for I've recently installed the 1.3.6 version on Linux and on my computer it is a bit too buggy, so ...

Re: Fixing variable sound level (DJ Mix)
This is getting seriously surreal. Is there any reason we're not using the multi-band compressor built into Audacity 1.3.5? Effect > Apple: AUMultibandCompressor That's the trouble with posting in a general forum section like this rather than a Windows/Mac/Linux board. The AUMultibandCompressor is ...

Re: help with ringtones
You just need to find one MP3 file that works and you'll be in business. If you can find anyone who has a working MP3, then ask them for a copy and use SUPER (by erightsoft) to ell you the exact format. Failing that you could try making a whole bunch of MP3's in different formats (mono, stereo, 128k...

Re: Is the sampling rate limited by Audacity, or just the ca
I was hoping to be able to record at 192KHz Your sound card may not run at that speed. In Audacity 1.3.6 it is possible to generate audio in Audacity that has sample rates above 100kHz, but in order for it to play through your sound card it may be resampled to a sample rate that your sound card sup...

Re: Where is Quick Mix
"Quick Mix" is in Audacity 1.2.x
In Audacity 1.3.x it is called "Mix and Render" and is in the "Tracks" menu.

Re: Envelope tool weirdness
I agree it can be quite tricky. You may find it easier if you change the track view to "Waveform dB" Click on the little arrow next to the track name and select that option from the drop down menu. The other option is to use the "Fade out" effect from the Effects menu. I have pos...
