Re: Burning Audio to CD in Real Time

I'm recording the Audio with Audacity, but it takes time to save the audio to an MP3 and then burn the MP3 to CD. If you are making audio CD's (rather than data CD's, you can speed up the process and improve the quality by Exporting as WAV rather than MP3. For audio CD's (that will play on ordinary...

Re: importing then exporting problem

Check what sample rate the Tascam needs - to set the sample rate of the WAV files that you Export from Audacity, use the little "Project Rate" box in the lower left corner of the main Audacity window. Audacity will export using the same sample rate as the current project rate.

Installing Audacity 1.3.6 in Ubuntu 8.10

This topic is for reference only. The current release build of 1.3.6 on Ubuntu is quite buggy, so I would recommend installing the 1.3.5 version with Synaptic. =========================================================================== Here is the step by step method that I used for building Audaci...

Audacity 1.3.6 crashes with .lof files

Re: I need a keyboard shortcut "rewind n seconds"

One way is probably to click on the time bar at the top of the main tracks window - you can do this while it is playing, or in Pause mode ("P" key) or in stop mode (space bar to toggle play/stop). Playback will automatically commence from where you click. Since you are familiar with just u...

Re: Need help with now malfunctioning recording quality.

The same thing is happening to me. Angry synthesizer is the perfect word for it. An acoustic banjo sounds like a distorted electric guitar. But I have not switched computers. The only thing that is different from last time I used Audacity is that now I'm recording from cassette tape as opposed to v...

Re: Removing Metronome clicks from play-along CD's

You will need to use Audacity 1.3.6 The clicks are quite long and contain a broad range of frequencies. This means that neither filtering or noise/click removal will be effective. However, the clicks are panned dead centre, and they have been electronically generated so the clicks are pretty well id...
