Re: Need help recording stereo music
I suggest that you make a test recording with something completely different on the left channel to what is on the right channel. Create two different tracks, pan one track to the extreme left, and the other to the extreme right so that when you play it you get one track playing through one speaker ...

Re: loss in nonlossy encodings?
Is there any way to cut flac or audio in audacity losslessly? (as in not changing the rest of the file) I think you are doing that already. Just open the file, cut it and Export it in the same format. In some situations you may notice that the audio file is shown to be a different bit depth when in...

Re: I cant find "What you hear" option
Someone over on the Finale forum told me that the "What you hear" option actually pertains to a specific soundcard manufacturer: Creative. Ceative (SoundBlaster) use the term "What U Hear". Most other manufacturers call the same feature "Stereo Mix". It is sometimes al...

Re: Using Waves Diamond Bundle/other plugin
Audacity uses the VST bridge for VST support. VST bridge does not support the graphical elements of the user interface due to licensing restrictions. If you use the Equalizer effect in Audacity, then the boost that you set for any specific frequency band is the boost that you get (just tested it out...
