Using Audacity 1.2 you need to record in the usual way and Export as a WAV file. You can then use an external encoder to make a WMF version. There are several free format converters that can do this - one is called "SUPER" by erightsoft. I believe that Microsoft also provide a free WMF enc...

These have been highly recommended by other Audacity users, and should be suitable for your ribbon microphone (a bit more money than the LightSnake though)
