Re: Clipfix (see waveform pic) - plugins available?
Would it be possible for me to get copy of your working code... My first version of Clipfix (with inversion correction) is available here : http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=5438 This code is hopelessly inefficient - basically it is just the original code with "proof of concep...

And I presume that you have to use a loop-back lead with the Edirol UA-1EX ?

Re: Subsequent tracks get recorded at a different pitch
Unless you built Audacity from the source code and built in support for ASIO, then Audacity will not use your lovely ASIO drivers, it will just use standard Windows drivers (ASIO can not be distributed with Audacity because of Steinberg's licensing restrictions). I trashed that whole project and sta...

Re: How do you export to another audio editor?
You also need to export each track individually, but before you do that, you may need to "Render" the track so as to ensure that the timing of audio clips is preserved. Set the audio format to something that is supported by the other application as described by Koz. Then for each track ind...

No there isn't, but I also wish there was.anelefant wrote:I was wondering if there was any way of hearing the effect of the eq while you are changing it. It's really one of the only features I miss.

Re: Adding sounds to a track while recording
You can do it with Audacity if you have 2 computers and both have multi-channel sound cards.
Failing that, you will need to use ASIO enabled software. Have a look at "Ableton Live" for the playback, and "Cubase", "Sonar" or "Reaper" for the recording.

Re: Ripping/Stripping/Copying Audio Track from movie DVD
Audio can often be ripped from DVD's in much the same way as ripping CDs, but with different software, though copy protection can make it quite tricky. See Doom9 forum for more information. To "record" a DVD that is playing on your computer, you need to either be able to record "Stere...

Re: USB sound card with decent Stereo Mix?
I don't know of any USB sound cards that directly support recording "Stereo Mix". However, recording sounds from your computer with a USB sound card is easy to achieve by using a "loopback" connector. What that means is that you need to use an audio lead to connect the output of ...

Re: creating a sequence?
If you use "Import Audio" from the file menu, each sample will be imported to its own track within the same project. All you need to do then is to use the "time shift tool" (a double headed horizontal arrow) to drag the samples left/right to where you want them. Use the zoom tool...
