Re: More Latency Issues
Switch off "software playthrough" - as you have discovered, that causes huge latency (it is provided for using USB turntables and stuff, not for live recording). You did not previously go into Audacity to get it working, because the setting that you are looking for is not in Audacity, it i...
Re: ITUT-201
You can download Audacity by following the links from this page: http://audacityteam.org/download/
Take care that you download the correct version, and that you download Audacity and not a completely different product (the download site is Advert supported).

Iconnex sound card, with USB cord & Audacity CD If the version of Audacity is lower than 1.2.6, then go to the Audacity web site and download version 1.2.6 or the latest 1.3 version. The downloads are hosted by SourceForge and they have some big adverts on their web site, so take care that you ...

Re: Audacity still seems to be making a rather quiet recordi
I think that this is one of the hardest things that a casual user of Linux will come across, and it really is not the fault of the Linux developers. Unfortunately sound card manufacturers do not bother to make drivers for Linux, so we do not have the nice neat interfaces for our sound cards that oth...

Re: file name with Track number
By default the Metatag Editor will pop up each time a file is exported. This gives you the opportunity to edit the tags if you so wish. If you have turned this feature off, you will need to go into preferences (from the edit menu) and switch it back on.

Re: How to do the bouncing pan effect in a single track?

I do not really recommend VST plug-ins as they are only partially supported and can cause major headaches, so go for LADSPA or Nyquist plug-ins.

Re: WMP plays my converted WAV's but wont import them?
It's best to use a media player that is not WMP. WMP has lots of nice features designed specifically to lock you in to exclusively using Microsoft product$. There are many media players that are much better than WMP. I particularly like Foobar2000 and VLC, both of which are free. If you want a heavi...
