Without the AUP file the project will be unrecoverable.
Re. the system crash, I'd suggest that you check your computer manufacturers website to see if updated drivers are available. Watchdog Violation errors shouldn't occur these days.

Re: Confusion about WAV max size
A "standard" Microsoft WAV file has a file size limit of 4 GB. There are variations of the WAV format that may be greater than 4 GB, the two main ones being: BWF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast_Wave_Format RF64: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RF64 Audacity supports RF64. "File...

Re: DTMF future functions?
A first suggestion about the DTMF generator: the future possibility to access and to read an external TXT file, where DTMF codes (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,#,*,a,b,c,d) are recorded as character strings, instead of being obliged to enter them, through the keyboard, in the Audacity interface, and to get t...

Re: Simple Audacity Forum Voice Test

Re: Audacity "Bigger Changes" coming
Unfortunately, the atrocious "Windows Update" system is entirely outside of our control (and was one of the main reasons that I switched from Windows to Linux).

Re: Won't find/recognise FFMPEG
Try re-running the Audacity "EXE" installer (https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/) and during the installation, select the option to "Reset Preferences". If you installed FFMpeg by running the "ffmpeg-win-2.2.2.exe" file, then Audacity should automatically fin...

Re: Can't install plugins
Use these instructions to install Nyquist plug-ins (ACX check is a "Nyquist Plug-in"): https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_effect_generator_and_analyzer_plug_ins_on_mac_os_x.html#nyquist_install Also, ensure that you have the latest version of ACX Check (it was recently updated)...
