Re: Spyware Detector and Audacity

My question is- is limiting damaging the sound? Short answer is YES. All forms of compression/limiting "damage" the sound in the sense that it resembles the original recording less closely than it did before. However, that is not to say that it is "bad". I regularly use hard lim...

Re: Using Audacity to mix down multiple mp3's
MP3's do not have that ability. However, you could use a series of individual MP3 files, and publish a playlist so that when someone downloads and plays the playlist, it will load each mp3 as required and display the information associated with that MP3 file.

Re: Novation Nio USB Audio/MIDI / Audacity
Audacity is not (and never has been) distributed with ASIO support. (Audacity is prevented from including ASIO support in the compiled binary files due to licensing restrictions). However, for most ASIO devices there are also Windows drivers (WDM drivers) available. These should work with Audacity. ...

Re: Sound Soap 2 conflict
Removing the VST bridge plug-in from Audacity should enable Audacity and Sound Soap to co-exist (though you will then be unable to use any VST effects in Audacity -though with the hundreds of free Ladspa and Nyquist plug-ins available that should not be too much of an issue)
