Re: Question About Behringer USB Podcast Kit

The UCA200 USB has fixed gain, so the recording level is entirely dependent on the signal level that you put into it. For example, put a signal at -6dB into the UCA202 and the signal recorded by Audacity should be around -6dB.
What model is the mixer in your Podcast kit?

Re: Too much bass on live set recording
although its recorded ok the bass is way too much in parts. Is there anyway I can ammend this after I've recorded it, You can use the Equalizer effect to reduce the bass. what can I do to prevent this in the future. This can be a bit tough with live recording. I'm guessing that the recording was in...

Re: Can I Pull Cursor To Particular Location In Track?
Selection Tool (F1) Click on the track > a vertical line appears on the track - that is the track play position. Click on the Play button or press the Spacebar - play commences from the play position. Note that you can also zoom in or out on the track (magnifying glass icon or Ctrl+mouse wheel). Cli...

Re: Clicks
Where is the feedback on Clicks? How long does it take? There are no paid staff here. Audacity is open source free software, created and supported by people that are interested in doing so. From your description I have no idea where these clicks are coming from - are they present on the cassette re...

Re: Using several tracks to make one track.
Record a track, then "Export" the recording as a WAV file. Repeat for the other tracks. (Note that Audacity does not "Save" audio files, it "Saves" Audacity projects. To get an audio file out of Audacity you must "Export"). Open a new Audacity project and &quo...

Re: what is the highest sampling rate
Audacity can handle 192000Hz - probably more, but it becomes pretty irrelevant for audio recording.

Re: Cannot get equal Left and Right input levels
Tell a bit about what you are recording from - from a CD player? What wires have you got plugged in? Lots of detail is good.

Re: Recording From Speakers.
The sound quality depends in part on your computer hardware. There is a tutorial about this here: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer Also look at the "Tips" section of the Audacity wiki (link at top of page) for optimising recording and pla...

Re: removing part of the track that don't want?
1) How do I delete certain bits of the guitar track that I don't want to bring the good bits together to make up the whole guitar track? Down at the bottom of the Audacity window there is a box that says "Snap to". In general you do NOT want to select that option. You can do multiple &quo...
