It is not really possible to say how to fix something without first knowing what's wrong with it.
If you could post a link to a sample of your vocals you may get some helpful and relevant suggestions.

Re: Apply De-emphasis?
You can do something very similar using Nyquist, though it will be very much slower than using the Equalizer. (Also, it may require Audacity 1.3 rather than 1.2) I don't have any suitable material for testing to find the optimum settings, but the values used here are hopefully about right. (if (arra...

Re: How can I amplitude modulate one channel with another ?
Whilst not strictly "Sine Speech", you may find this code interesting. Note that it should only be run on a mono track. (setq width 14) ; Number of iterations - higher number for narrower bandpass (setq amplify 2.2) ; amplification factor to keep the level reasonable (setq carrier (hzosc 1...

Re: AudacityLinux-Configuration
I think that a 1.3 version of Audacity is available in the Debian repository. For MP3 support you will probably find it in the "restricted" repository (not sure of the terminology for Debian - I use Ubuntu). If you are familiar with building from source, then the cvs version is probably th...

Re: Weird Timing Issue
Speeding up or slowing down is almost always a hardware problem, however I notice that you are using an X-Fi sound card that are known to be prone to driver issues. Make sure that you have the latest available drivers installed for the sound card. Also, try Audacity 1.3.7 If the issue remains after ...

That's an interesting effect - somewhat more complicated than AM modulation - I'll have to look into that when I get time.Trebor wrote:[I was expecting sine speech ... http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/people/mat ... ve-speech/ ]

Re: deleting selection labels and flags
Possibly a bug, but I can't reproduce it in the most recent version of Audacity, so it may have been fixed.Paul Lundgren wrote:if I select the last track and choose Remove, it removes the first track instead. Is this a bug?

Re: Audacity/Pamela recording issues - Normalizing audio lev
There are various ways to improve the mis-match voice level using Audacity, but they are all a bit of a pain and time consuming. It would be much better to fix the problem in the original recording, but I've never used "Pamela" so I've no idea about the correct set-up procedure. You would ...
