Re: v.2.3.0 macros STILL export all 24-bit WAV as 16-bit!!!

And why isn't it SAVE AS anyways. Export implies the file is rendered and possibly re-compressed possibly even lossless, As you say, "export" implies that the file is rendered and possibly re-compressed, which is exactly what happens. From the manual: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/a...

Re: I need help badly

Ensure that the playback device is set to your headphones in the Device Toolbar . You should then be able to hear the beat through your headphones when you play the beat track in Audacity. It is not possible to route the sound from your microphone through to your headphones without there being a not...

I can’t hear the beat when I play it
How are you expecting to hear it? Through headphones plugged into the round headphone socket on your laptop? Some other way?

Re: Listen to self with a delay.

You can add a delay effect to something that is already recorded (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/delay.html) but Audacity does not do effects in "real-time" as you record.

Re: Can't hear beat while trying to record vocals

I do have overdub on. Yes, i also am using a USB mic on a Windows 10 laptop. I also have the playthrough on, my stuff is all plugged in correctly. When I go to watch a YouTube video via headphones I can hear clearly. When I enter back to Audacity it's the same thing all over again, this problem sta...

Recording what? Your voice with a microphone? Which make / model of microphone, and how is it connected to your computer?

Re: Request: ffmpeg plugin with drc_scale disabled

Using compressed audio formats during production is one of the cardinal sins for professional audio production. Don't you have an uncompressed version of the source material to work with? During import of ac3 files, audacity's ffmpeg has -drc_scale set to 1, which does a bad dynamic range compressio...

Recording makes a small recording, and playing that back sounds like a chipmunk played fast. Slowing it down doesn't fix it.
What are you recording?
