Re: Silence on the end of WAV
So this only happens with the "voice over" files? It may be due to a problem with non-standard metadata in the files. There are various ways to strip out metadata - one way is to burn all of the files to an audio CD, then rip the CD. This will give you standard 16 bit 44100Hz stereo WAV fi...

Re: Hey guys, question about file size...
I'm trying to get this mp3 converter thing to work and when I try to do the lame_enc.dll to work with audacity it says that it's not a valid windows image. Re: Audacity crash after language selection -Illegal instruc
I don't know Zenwalk, so I can't offer much help there, however, as a general point it is important that you have a working sound system before you install Audacity. Make sure that you have a fully working ALSA. When building from source, ensure that you have the "dev" versions of the depe...

Re: Help with mic
Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O tab
Select the headset as the recording and playback device.
Is it a USB headset?
If so, ensure that the headset is connected and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.

Re: How to convert from .daf to mp3?
Possibly not at all.
The only .daf files I have ever seen are ancient database files.
If this is a proprietary audio format you will probably have to use the application that they came from.

Re: lame_enc.dll not recognized by Audacity
There are many different versions of Lame - you may even have several different versions on your computer. You need to ensure that Audacity is accessing the correct one. If you suspect the file may be corrupt, download it again by following the links on the main Audacity website. http://audacityteam...
