Re: Doing a simple edit
There's lots of variations on how to trim off a bit of a track - the way I do it: Say I have a 30 minute track and I want to delete the last 10 minutes (from 20:00 to 30:00) I click with the left mouse button on the track at 20:00, then while holding down the mouse button, drag across to the right u...

Re: what does this mean......

What version Audacity?
What OS?
Is this a repeatable problem or just a one off?
How can I reproduce the fault?

but it would be good for people who are into music recording such as myself. SO you could be like "Whole note" instead of "Ummm 4.234323 seconds I totally agree - and there is a feature request for that (somewhere on the feature request list). I would like to be able to select bars a...

Re: Switched stereo channels
The fault has been reported in one case in combination with Vista. Where was it reported? Reported by who? With Audacity 1.2.4 the file looks correctly like ..... and with 1.37 I have got the picture That's quite odd - while the two look similar, the time scale indicates that the two screen shots a...

Re: Strange Display when loading wav
I load a track of about 2 minutes length. I see the stripes and I know nothing. Waiting for 10 minutes to allow the display calculation ends in - stripes. Nothing else. Re: Strange Display when loading wav
It's not a problem, it's a feature - and actually it is quite a nice feature when you know what it is doing. In previous versions of Audacity, when opening uncompressed audio files you had to wait while the file fully loaded and the waveform display calculated before you could do anything. With the ...
