The first problem is that your recording level is too high. Notice how some of the downward peaks have their apexes clipped off:

Could you try to find minimal steps to recreate the problem so that I can see what is occurring.

Too much "processing" (effects) can make voice recordings sound strange / not good. Perhaps you could post a couple of short audio samples, about 6 seconds each, in WAV format, one of the raw recording, and one after you've applied the effects. (See: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopi...

I can’t hear anything Can you hear other things, such as YouTube or Windows Media Player through your headphones? Open "Help menu > Diagnostics > Audio Device Info". Wait for the info to appear, then click the Save / OK button and save the info somewhere convenient (such as your Desktop)....
