Try the other version that I mentioned in my last post.
I'm trying to get a definitive answer from the developers about this - for Audacity 1.3.7, the new Audacity version of Lame must be used, but I'm not so sure about 1.2.6.

Re: mixer bar - input source

The Realtek control panels often have stuff hidden, and every computer with a Realtek sound card seems to have a slightly different layout. The options should be there, but you will need to search for them. If the options are not there then you've got trouble and may need a better sound card (decent...

Re: Recording too fast

Just so I know, tell me the difference with the MME options I'm showing and the DirectSound options. I know very little when it comes to sound cards and the different hardware/software that keeps them running properly. I know how to adjust the basics but that's about it. I'm no expert either. This ...

Re: Pro Tools vs. Audacity

Audacity or Pro Tools will do an equal job "equal"? hmm... Audacity will do a better job on Linux (afaik Protools does not run on Linux). Protools also has a higher hardware requirement (2 hard drives, specialised sound card, more RAM...) The price difference will also have a big impact o...

Re: theme / background color of spectrum

Themes at present are only partially implemented. I think this is one of the parts that is not currently supported.

Re: Recording too fast

I do it the same way every time. That's what I don't understand. When I use WME everything comes out exact. When I use SHOUTcast Source it's a little longer by the time I get to 60 minutes. So your live show IS EXACTLY 60:00 (your stop watch is accurate), but when you play back the recording from A...

Re: popping/click noise at beginning and end of recordings

Tip: Another method that will remove a DC offset from a track is to apply a high-pass filter with the cut-off frequency value set to something like 10Hz. Such a filter will have little effect on the sounds recorded, because 10Hz is below the range of our hearing, but any DC offset will be removed b...

Re: mixer bar - input source

This is probably due to the sound card driver (not uncommon with Realtek), however you will probably still be able to use Audacity by selecting the recording source using the Realtek control panel (look near the time/date in the bottom right of your desktop for a loudspeaker icon).
