Re: Voice Metalliziced after using Quick Mix (sample include
I don't know what has happened to cause this, but I can see what has happened. There are little bits of data missing throughout the clip. There is no way to make it normal again as bits of the data are completely missing. I suspect that the damage occured during the recording rather than during the ...

Re: beat matching question
There is a plug-in for Audacity called something like "Turntable Warp". It is available from the main Audacity web site.mrvanes wrote:Is there an alerative editor/script/tool that could gradually increase/decrease a songs tempo over time

Re: Deleted Temporary Files
If the files are no longer in wastebasket - then you've lost the show. On Windows it is sometimes possible to recover deleted files that are not in the Recycle Bin, but this is only possible if they have not been overwritten. It is therefore important to do as little as possible on your computer un...

Re: Encoding ISRC codes?
I was hoping that someone had a definitive answer. As far as I know, ISRCs are not part of any format, they are just identification codes issued by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) . If you want to embed the code in a WAV file, then you need to use BWF format rather t...

Re: Zooming to whole project
IIRC this may be a bug that has been reported already I think it was discussed on the Audacity Developers mailing list not long ago, but I can't find that either. As far as I know you can not stop this from happening, but you can press Ctrl+E to zoom to the section that you have just generated (bec...

Re: COULD NOT OPEN Mp3 ENCODING LIBRARY
While that encoder offers a fix for Audacity 1.2.6 (not needed with Audacity 1.3.7 - the version available from the Audacity web site works fine with Audacity 1.3) note that you will not be able to use VBR encoding. VBR (Variable Bit Rate) offers better sound quality than a CBR file of the same size...

Re: Speeded up play-back in exported MP3s
Update: If you are looking for a quick fix, you could try the 3.92 version of Lame with Audacity 1.2.6 from http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm This version appears to work correctly with Audacity 1.2.6. However I would still recommend updating to Audacity 1.3.7, it really is a lot ...

Re: Speeded up play-back in exported MP3s
I've got some good news and some bad news for you - which do you want first? So, what's the problem... WMP is probably contributing to the issue (and Real Player), but for once it is not their fault. (Some players, including WMP have problems with VBR MP3s, which is a shame because VBR generally giv...
