i wonder if im the only problem with this..... Probably. i DO export them to the desk top...thats where they get deleted... When do they get deleted? When you Export the MP3, can you see the file on your desktop? Does it play in your usual media player? Can you copy it/move it to another location?

I suspect that the problem occuring at the time that you installed Audacity is coincidence (yes they do happen occasionally). does audacity do anything to modify/adjust existing Vista audio API or points to different set of DLL's or something? Make sure that you export to a location that you have permission to write to. For example, Export to "My Documents" or to the Desktop.

Yes, but if you change the tempo by more than about 10% you will start to hear a deterioration in the sound quality. The more you change the tempo the lower the sound quality.
