You can try 1.2.5 or 1.2.6a but you must get the right one for your machine or it will not work.
However I would recommend 1.3.7 which works on both Intel and PPC Macs. From a user point of view there is little difference.
1.2.x will soon be obsolete (and no longer supported).

Better than that - it's off by default (with an option to turn on AGC if you specifically want it for some reason).kozikowski wrote:Which may be one of the reasons the Zoom is so popular. You can turn all that auto stuff off.

Re: Faulty Playback
There are file and folder names burned into the programming. On Windows and Linux (probably Mac also) it depends on whether you set Audacity to "Copy audio into project" or not. If you did select that option, then references to the data are relative and as long as the AUP file and the dat...

Re: reducing file size???
You need to compress the audio more. I hope that you have either a WAV format export or the full Audacity project (aup file AND data folder).
Which version of Audacity are you using?

, I copied it to an external hard drive and then back to my "C" drive. Though, when I copied it back to my "C" drive I created a folder called "Audio Files" to place all of my audio projects. Before the wipe, this folder was called "Sound Files." I'm going to...

Re: Mic/Line vs. High Gain/ Low Gain
I am also considering a small solid memory video recorder. I saw one at a recent show and I was impressed with how well it worked. Re: A little help on making voice louder
As Koz has said, your options with a single mixed track are limited, however you may find that if you apply a high degree of compression (around 20:1) at a threshold of around 14 dB with a 3 dB knee radius (see the "SC4" studio compressor plug-in for Audacity) that the drums do not dominat...

Re: Installed Audacity On Windows XP... Lost All Audio
I installed audacity and then lost all audo on my computer. Windows has given all the audio to your Turntable - OK, I know that the turntable only has USB audio out, but Windows does not know that, so it is trying to play sounds back through the turntable. Go the the Windows Control Panel and in th...
