Re: No Playback during or after recording

Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O and select "software playthough"

Re: Continuous beep

It sounds like you have created a "feedback loop". This is when the output from the sound card (possibly through the speakers) is going back in to the sound card (possibly through the microphone), getting amplified and coming back out again, round and round getting louder in a fraction of ...

Re: Change tempo on multiple tracks that are different lengt

File name is "nexttoyouXX". XX being a number(I increase the number everytime I save. I think I'm on 14) I presume that is "nexttoyou14" without the quotes. Numbering each Save is a very good idea - it eats up a lot of disk space but provides a back trace of "restore points...

Re: how to apply reverb to just one track?

This is the download page http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/

Re: harmony question

If you open the Windows Mixer/ Sound card Control Panel, I suspect that you will find that you have the recording source set for recording "Mix"/"Stereo Mix". This will record all sounds that are playing through your computer, so your individual tracks are not really individual, ...

Re: Realtime plug ins in playback

I think it would be definitely worth speaking directly to the Audacity developers about this if you are not already doing so. A couple of ways of contacting them: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/audacity-devel feedback [AT] audacityteam [dot] org As I mentioned, I've not yet used Ardour...
