Re: Recorder goes off during recording
And where can I find this option? If I go to Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio devices there is no such option. I have a sigmatel audio sound card and the driver doesn't have such option either. The setting will be in the Sigmatel control panel near the clock in the lower right of your desktop. It ...

Re: Sample Rate
Audacity automatically changes the project rate to the sample rate of the first imported audio. You can see that in the lower left corner of the window. That's also where you can change it back to your desired sample rate. Absolutely. Just set the project sample rate in the lower left corner immedi...

Re: Widening/Narrowing stereo image?
s there an effect or process that would allow me to widen or narrow the stereo image of a particular song? There is a "Stereo Butterfly" plug-in available from here http://audacityteam.org/download/nyquistplugins In fact there are several listings for it - I've not checked if they are the...

Re: Record stops after 0.6 seconds. [Solved]
For some reason i did not find the md5sum for the image, so i m not sure what is causing this (hardware? corrupt cd?). Most probably a fault on the CD. Ubuntu publist the MD5 checksum of all iso images, so you can check your download against the published MD5. If the iso checks out correct, then yo...

Re: Won't run on Vista
Hi, Have downloaded Audacity Converter but it keeps telling me that it is inactive. Is there a code somewhere that I need to enter? Help please. You have just been given a huge amount of "benefit of the doubt" and have not yet been banned. Your signature has been deleted. There is no prog...

Can anyone test "Plot Spectrum" in Audacity 1.3.8
I notice that "Plot Spectrum" in Audacity 1.3.8 produces a different output from earlier versions. I'm using Audacity 1.3.8 on Linux, but I expect this to be the same on all platforms. Here is an example of the type of thing: In any version of Audacity 1.3.x 1) Generate 20 seconds of silen...

The workaround for you would be to find, buy or make some really really really interesting CDswaxcylinder wrote:he one in my car insists on playing the CD all over again as soon as it gets to the end of the last track - with absolutely no way to turn off this undesirable default behaviour![]()

Re: Bug in Timer Record...
Thanks waxcylinder, I only rarely use timer record and I've never seen this bug. I've read your post about the midnight thing, but not knowing that was a red herring it did not seem to apply here. bobwd, if you can make this problem happen at will, you may be able to help the developers, as a tester...

Re: latency problems
I do get a signal but its 20-30 db down from the good channel Things to check: 1) Check that the problem is not from the audio source -try feeding an input from something else. 2) Check your lead - try a different lead. 3) Make sure that you do not have a "pan"/"balance" control...

Re: 1.3.8 changes
I use aDAT, which means when I import it's in real time I'm a bit unclear about the terminology you are using. Do you mean that you have an ADAT recorder, which you have recorded on, and are transfering (or wanting to transfer) the multi-track recording in real time to the computer through the ADAT...
