Re: Speed variation
I am thinking that it might be the sound card in my lap top. You are probably correct. General purpose computer sound cards are usually built to be good enough for making "peep"s and "pling"s, for Internet voice calls and casual listening to music, but are not usually made for h...

Re: Question about Normalization (how does it work in Audaci
It would be easy enough to put in an option, but the Normalize effect in Audacity already does that so I didn't think there was much point. .... .... Just seen your PM. Glad you like it :D Will add an "unlink channels" option and post it here. What would you like that feature called? "...

Re: 1.3X always crashes
the thing is if vst plugins are causing making Audacity crash why not have an option to ignore plugins before it instals or some kind of verifier ? That is exactly what is being worked on now. I think the Audacity developers underestimated how much bad code is in some VSTs that are in circulation, ...

Re: Play does not play

(the repositories always lag a little way behind, especially for software that is being rapidly developed like Audacity). Did you previously use &q...

Re: multi-track recording guitar
Try this. Unplug all microphones, headphones, guitar leads and loudspeakers from your computer(all audio peripherals). Switch off your computer. Is this a Desktop or a laptop computer? Plug in your headphones to the headphone socket on your computer (it may be colour coded green, or it may have a pi...

Re: Question about Normalization (how does it work in Audaci
<<<I think it might be useful if there was a tick box in the Normalize function that offered something like "tie stereo pairs" or "preserve stereo balance" as an option. That way one could import a number of stereo songs and normalize them all to the same level, but keep the rel...
