What computer platform was this game designed to run on?
What sort of computer/operating system are you using?

Which compressor do you mean? The compressor effect in Audacity, or some other compressor?

(sorry about all the questions)

Re: problem with cut, paste

I select the recommended option to save audio files associated with the project. So far, so good. Easy, clear and intuitive. Then I close the file. When I open up the file again, I've lost all wave form in song 2, 3, and 4, except the areas that I faded in and out. Audacity projects are made of two...

Re: Cannot save existing project using Save As...

I've seen this happen with a damaged project. What I did to recover from it was to use "File > New" to open a new Audacity window, then copy each track into the new project and Save with a new file name. (I exported all the tracks as WAV files first - for backups - because I was worried th...

Re: Distortion level indicators - absent...

Do the meter bars show up at all?
Are you getting a signal registering on the recording level meter?

Just in case, try (with a smaller bunch of data files) at different format settings - do these recovery tools also need to know the bit depth?

Re: Editing ends of tunes

You've posted in the wrong bit of the forum - this part is for "forum issues" (such as "How do I change my log-in details?") Let us know which version of Audacity you are using, and what your operating system is and one of the forum moderators will move it for you. Are you record...

Re: Required software extensions are missing

When this problem first occurred (on an older version of Audacity 1.3) What version was that? If it was 1.3.7 or earlier and you did not have the "VST bridge" plug-in installed in Audacity, then it is nothing to do with VSTs. VST support in Audacity before version 1.3.8 was provided by an...

Re: Wav a little speedier?

Are you absolutely sure that it is playing quicker and lower in pitch?
I can understand quicker and higher, or slower and lower, but not quicker and lower.

try telling that joke to our UK government and the BBC who have developed a "cunning plan" to remove our current FM services (including our serious music channel Radio 3) from FM and place the lot on wonderful digital. The normal bit rate for Radio 3 is 192kbps, but... "When part-tim...
