Re: UML Diagrams of Audacity

There's the information on that page, plus information on the pages that are linked to it, and then there is the source code http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_source
That's the best I can find.

Re: Ogg Vorbis doesn't work

Use "Save Compressed Copy of Project" if you want an Audacity Project with the audio tracks in Ogg format, and use "Export" if you want a single Ogg file.

What sample rate and bit depth is the audio that you are exporting?

What about the bit depth / sample rate?
tubajazz wrote:And yes, ITunes and Windows does support WAV and MP3 files.
I'm not sure that they support 24 bit or 32 bit files.

Make sure that you export as 16 bit 44.1kHz and then try to play them.

Re: Saved as Large Files

If you start with a mono file in Audacity then the exported MP3 will be a lot smaller than a stereo MP3. The file size can be reduced by setting the "bit rate" to a lower number (though the quality will get worse). Look in the "Options" in the Export dialogue screen to try differ...

That depends on how you are getting the sound into the computer. If you use a USB turntable then the sound card makes no difference a...

Re: Saved as Large Files

Another story as well, I ripped audio of a live performance off a YouTube video using Audacity, and the file ended up bring 33.4MB! That's nearly 10x larger than a song should normally come out to be. 33MB sounds about right for an uncompressed audio file. MP3 compression makes audio files much sma...

Re: Micro source recording and delayed echoed playback

There are also various ways of doing this on Linux using LADSPA plug-ins.

If you're on Windows, have a look for "virtual guitar effects pedals" and you may find something.

Re: Minor bug: double error message, 1.3.9alpha

Thanks for the clarification george13, I was being a bit dense about what Storer meant. I presume that you are talking about the "Disallowed" error message window? There should just be an "OK" button (no "Cancel" button) on that window. Clicking "OK" should cl...
