I don't think those last messages are really "errors", just information that you and I don't understand. Anyhow, I get those messages every time, but it doesn't cause any problem.jaskah wrote:i still had some error messages after make but when i checked with ./audacity & everything seemed fine.

Re: Windows Media Player cannot open wav file to burn to cd
There is a safe way to reset Audacity 1.2
See here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... o_defaults
Use the "safe" method described. When you restart Audacity it will ask you for your language.

Re: Jack not recognized in Audacity
I think the problem is that Jack is not working properly. Hydrogen is the program that is frequently used as a test for Jack - if Hydrogen works, then Jack is OK, if it doesn't then it's not. I successfully ran a real-time kernel on another computer - quite an old computer - and it worked really wel...

Re: recording with sony pcm d50, then direct to cd
All in all, I'm inclined to revert the Manual back to almost what it was, I'd forgotten about importing with other importers  so I've removed the line; "Imported audio will retain its original bit depth unless it is lower than the Quality Preferences, in which cases it will be converted ...

Re: audacity 1.3.8 // compilation error
TagLib is used in Audacity for metadata support. There are two different tarballs available. The standard source tarball (6.4 MB) assumes your system has the necessary dependencies (libraries) installed and that they are sufficiently up to date. The full tarball (17.4 MB) is suggested for Windows an...

Re: Getting at the Help manuals
Same question to Steve, except I've tested this twice on Ubuntu so I know Audacity does see the "help" folder at usr/local/share/audacity. Made a folder called "help", and put the extracted "manual" folder in it - works now. Thanks. I think the wording could be made a ...

Don't use WMP for burning CDs, use CDBurnerXP - it's a much better CD burner and it's free.

Re: Recording maxes at half volume. Why?
I think that you will have to contact m-audio about this. Check their help forum first if they have one. Do tell them that you also get the problem with sndrec32 as this is the classic test to see if it's drivers or the recording application. Do let us know if you resolve it. Sorry I don't think I c...
