Re: what dirs, files, etc to delete so can run 1.39?

All versions of Audacity 1.3.x save your Preferences in a file called "audacity.cfg" The problem you experienced in Audacity 1.3.4 is due to an invalid setting in the audacity.cfg file. Because Audacity 1.3.9 also uses the audacity.cfg file, it is attempting to use the same invalid setting...

Re: Converting MIDI files to WAV or MP3 files

Thanks for the recommendation Georgie, but personally I'll stick with Timidity++ on Windows. It's a bit old now (as is the MIDI format itself) but it still does an excellent job, and on Windows it is very easy to use. The other major advantage is that it is FREE. Which oscillator is it that you want to make random? Is it the "center" parameter?

Thanks for the info about the plug-in.
I've sent you a PM about it (it's a bit off-topic, so I didn't want to confuse the issue by posting here).

Re: Short time delay when recording

The problem is that when I play my guitar, even for the first track, I get a short delay which makes it virtually impossible for me to keep time because what I play doesn't record/playback until about 15ms? Why is that a problem? When you record the first track, just monitor the INPUT to your compu...

What is this "Remove Tone" Filter? I've not heard of it before.
