Re: Instructions Needed To Record Voice Message
I also checked the Creative Recorder, a separate program from the Creative Mixer, which can only record in WAV, but just opening the program locks up my computer to where it requires shutting off manually. That's not good. The Creative recorder should work out-of-the-box as it is designed specifica...

Re: Best opensource software for Autotune?
There's a problem for open source when it comes to VST, which is that "VST" is "proprietary" (closed source, restricted commercial license). This raises problems for open source programmers in avoiding conflict with GPL open source license terms. This is probably why there are so...

Re: PreSonus FP10 records at a max of half-volume in Audacit
I have e-mailed one of the developers to ask if he can take a look. While we are waiting, could you try the latest "nightly" version that is available here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Nightly_Builds#Windows_Binaries Delete or rename your "audacity.cfg" file befo...

Re: Choppy Playback in 1.3.5 on Ubuntu 9.04
Close Audacity, delete the audacity.cfg file then restart Audacity. This will give it the chance to initialise properly.
If that does not fix it, then tell me about your sound system - do you have a default Ubuntu sound system?

Re: Problem with Nyquist vocoder
That's really interesting - I know of this problem but I've never seen it for myself because I use English. You may not be entering commas, but Audacity is entering commas for you. The problem is in Audacity and was fixed on September 5th/6th. Just download the latest version of Audacity and install...

Re: Making the File Play Backwards
For Vista I would strongly recommend using Audacity 1.3 rather than the old 1.2 version. You have the file opened/imported in Audacity? Select the track, then select "Reverse" from the Effects menu. Use "Export" (File menu) to get an audio file out of Audacity ("Save" w...
