Re: recording halfway through a track
OK Steve - so now you've set me off on the path of Alpha testing .... :ugeek: Cool :D So now that you're an alpha tester and appear to have discovered a bug, the next step would be to look in the Release Checklist to see if it is already known. I've had a look and can't see any mention, so the next...
Re: Windows 7
So is the problem the playback level within Audacity, the playback level of the exported MP3, the recording level in Audacity... I'm not really clear what the problem is. You know that Windows 7 has independent volume levels for each program?

Re: TONE!!
These microphones http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/XM8500.aspx are also dirt cheap. Just treat it gently. I've used them, and they're not bad. I've also used those, but the Thomann ones are a lot better (not sure who makes them - they will be re-badged ). They are also a lot more robust than th...

Re: TONE!!
I've used both of these budget microphones for recording guitar amps (also used for live use). The first is a vocal mic (primarily designed for live vocals). They both do an admirable job recording guitar amps (though I've not tried them with really loud amps). http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_mb8...
Re: Windows 7
The latest version of Audacity (1.3.9) should work with Windows 7 though there may be some issues. There's not been a great deal of testing on Windows 7 yet as it is not widely used. I suspect that the problem is with your sound system set-up rather than either Windows 7 or Audacity. What are you tr...

Re: HELP!HOW TO I GET AUDACITY TO RECORD A BEHRINGER UFO202?
Using the UFO202 is basically the same technique as recording from a USB turntable (just that the A/D and USB electronic are between the turntable and the computer rather than inside the turntable). There's a section in the wiki about USB turntables: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Tran...

The ME-50 Guitar Multiple Effects is a floor-based multi-effects processor built with the ruggedness and simplicity of a stompbox. Designed to work with your amplifier, the ME-50 focuses on killer multi-effects (like COSM® overdrive and distortion) rather than amp modeling. http://www.bosscorp.co.j...

Re: spectrum analyzer
the HF end remains constant. The HF end is dependent on the sampling rate of the track. The upper frequency limit is set to the Nyquist frequency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyquist_frequency If you would like to see some alternative, you are welcome to post your ideas in the "Adding Feature...
