Re: Issue with Alt key when focus in label
I've split this topic as it is a different (though possibly related) issue to the original post. I wonder if this behaviour is specific to Windows (I'm on Linux). It may be a deliberate "feature" relating to the way Windows handles keyboard input. I presume that if you press Enter after in...

Re: The spammers are baaack!
Most of the spam is really obvious and gets dealt with promptly, but there is no harm in reporting. Reporting is probably most useful when spam has been added onto existing topics.

Re: Issue with Alt key when focus in label
In 1.3.10 alpha/10/23/09 version and before, there is a slightly different problem. If you have a label selected, type something normal in the label, and then use ALT-f, say, to get to the File menu, it ignores the ALT and enters 'f' into the label. ALT-SHIFT-f results in 'F' in the label. This can...

Re: MP3 export problem
I'm curious why this computer refuses to play, and it would be good to find a fix, but I'm out of ideas so I've asked someone else to take a look. They will probably post within the next few days if they can think of anything not already covered.

Re: Trouble Opening WAV file for Editing
Also note that although you say you have no 1.2.6 any more, its config file is still lurking in your system, waiting to pounce on you again if you ever delete the version 1.3.x audacity.cfg file! If you are comfortable editing the Windows registry (DANGER - can totally mess up your computer if you ...

Re: Recovery After a file rename
I also wonder if there is an easier open source solution than Audacity to record Internet radio. For the recording part, Audacity is the easy open source solution. The tricky part with Audacity is getting started - and this is why so much help is made available through the documentation. The Tips a...

Re: When recording multiple tracks, Audacity re-records all!
Ok - I found the source of the problem. When I turn down the CD/TAPE volume on my mixer, Audacity no longer records the "ghost" track of the previous tracks that I am listening to. This has been the problem all along - being able to listen to the previously recorded tracks while recording...

Re: removing gargle from tape recording
Is there any way of correcting the gargle in those 13 seconds using Audacity and appropriate filters? No, not with Audacity or any other program. The best that you can do is to patch up the damage. Depending on the music you may be able to copy a similar section and replace the damaged section, or ...
