That's normal. Don't install it, at least not yet.

Audacity 2.4.2 can be built without having to manually build WxWidgets.

Do you know which version of Cmake Mint 19.3 has?

If you are not comfortable building, I would recommend waiting for the official repos. Even though I build Audacity from source for testing, I generally have the repo version on my production machine.

How big are the MP3 files?

Are you able to export from Audacity as MP3, and then import that MP3 back into Audacity?

Hi, I am trying to copy and paste a count in which is in a drum track to the front of a guitar track. When I do the paste it inserts rather than overlays. In other words it pushes the guitar track back throwing it out of time. Is there a way to paste with overlay rather than insert. "Tracks me...

These are the Calf plug-ins on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (installed from the main repo), with Audacity 2.4.0

It's the part that is obscured by the "Locate FFmpeg" window that I want to see.
