See if there are any Windows 7 compatible drivers for your sound card. If not, you will probably need to replace your sound card (or replace Windows 7).

Re: Pop/Click Noise when applying effects or trimming
It is also possible to repair glitches (though it's better if you don't have to). Here's your edited file with the glitches repaired. The method used here was to carefully choose edit points close to the glitch, and trim out the bad bit, then if necessary use the "repair" effect to smooth ...

Re: Pop/Click Noise when applying effects or trimming
It does sound like there has been a bit of "engineering" done on the 24-bit unedited file (for example comparing the reverb at 16 seconds to the reverb on the last note), but perhaps it's just very kind acoustics. Anyway, in recording, it's a good result that counts, not how you get there....

Re: Pop/Click Noise when applying effects or trimming
- I tried to duplicate the clicks I was experiencing yesterday when generating the tone-pattern clip you requested yesterday, but today I couldn't get it to make any clicks/pops at all! The jury will have to remain out for that one. Regarding a single click when a track starts to play - I have come...

Re: Spectrum log(f) LEGENDA
Frequency is on the vertical scale. Colour is allocated according to the audio level at any particular frequency. (low level) Blue > Purple > Red > White (high level) The scale is not fixed, but is set in Preferences. For Audacity 1.3.9 Edit > Preferences > Spectrograms You will see there is also an...

Re: 1394 Net Adapter Error
Running Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop with XP - 1 year old. Installed Audacity and purchased U-Control UCA202. Transfered some cassette tapes... all worked great. But I now receive a blue screen (when my virus software runs) and I appear to have a driver problem with the 1394 Net Adapter. Is it possibl...

Re: Nyquist Plugin
It's often worth looking to see if there is any user information included with a plug-in bitone2.ny: Binaural tones with surf 2 generator produces a stereo sound: a sinewave tone of one constant frequency is generated in the left audio channel, and a series of changing tones of slightly different fr...

but can it record me on left and them on right? I expect it will. You could always try the demo version and test it (the free demo version generates noise on the signal after 10 minutes). A method that Linux users can use is to run Skype with Jack http://jackaudio.org/ There's a "Howto" f...
