Re: libwx_gtk-2.4 keeping me from compiling!

I really would suggest that you forget about compiling Audacity 1.2.6. If you are using a modern version of Linux you are likely to have system libraries installed that are too new. Start a new topic and call it something like "how do I compile Audacity on .......(name and version of your Linux...

Is it a USB mic/headphone?
Check to see what programs are running in the background - kill anything that is not essential.

Re: Right click function

Most of the stuff on this forum is about Audacity 1.3.x
Audacity 1.2.6 is due to be pronounced officially obsolete next month.
I'd suggest using 1.3.9 while you wait for 2.0 to be released http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: new windows 7 64 bit

Forget about trying to run Audacity 1.2 on Windows 7 (Audacity 1.2 was written back in the days of Win98)
Download the latest beta version (currently 1.3.9) and follow the instructions here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... s_Vista_OS

Re: HELP -- CPU not reading input

OK, let's do a recap of where we are up to: 1) You have Windows XP 2) You have installed Audacity - we still don't know what version - Open Audacity. Click on the "Help" menu and select "About Audacity..." What version does it say that you have? 3) You have a RealTek HD sound car...

Re: Does't recognize block (.au) files

If you are currently working on any Audacity projects, Export each track as a WAV file before going any further. (This is your backup). Now close Audacity completely. Open Audacity - if it gives an error message about orphaned files, choose the option to delete them, then close Audacity. Open Audaci...

Re: Problem with Nyquist vocoder

also I dont understand what you mean about comma's and full stops. Some European countries use the comma (,) as a decimal separator instead of the full stop/period (.) This could cause errors in some earlier versions of Nyquist if the user entered a decimal number using a comma (10.24 = OK, 10,25 =...
