Try doing make clean, then update from cvs. There have recently been some bits taken out of the code, so if you have an incomplete update it may be trying to compile bits that are no longer there.

A standard DVD uses 48000 Hz sampling rate. For DVD work, the ideal settings (if supported by your hardware) are 48000 Hz, 32 bit.

The file is in a format that is not supported by Audacity 1.2.6. Audacity 1.3.9 may be able to handle the format, but only if you also install ffmpeg. I've just tried GSnap on Audacity 1.3.9 in Windows XP and it works (full graphical interface). Do not install the VST bridge when using Audacity 1.3.9.

"Modem #0 Line Record" looks wrong to me. "Line in" might be OK, but "modem"?
