Re: Noise Reduction

Previously I would select Noise Reduction, highlight some audio, That would have been the other way round: Highlight some audio -> Select Noise Reduction I get the "Value not in range: 0 to 24" error? When exactly does that message appear? If the Noise Reduction window opens, check the se...

Re: 45->33 conversion (or alternate sample rate)

Can all of these music files be recovered?

Re: 2.4.2 Crash

Audacity does not officially support Chromebooks, so there's no guarantee that it will work correctly. There is an updated version of that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qArDGHzhMGo&feature=youtu.be I have no idea if the video is correct - I don't have a Chromebook. I just saw the l...

Re: OldSkoolVerb - Can't Get It Into Effects

I don't know where the plugins manager is on 2.0.6 Audacity 2.0.6 does not have a plug-in manager. Here's the manual page for installing VST plug-ins in Audacity 2.0.6: https://web.archive.org/web/20130501061639/http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#How_do_I_instal...

Re: 2 more questions about correcting latency

1. Where is Software Playthrough? It's supposed to be turned off, but I can't find it anywhere in the manual. It is off by default. As DVDdoug wrote, it can be found in "Recording" Preferences. (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/recording_preferences.html) It is also in: "Transport...

Re: Correcting Mistake using "Add Label at Selection"

To record to a new track, "Shift + R". In old versions, Audacity recorded to a new track by default, and to "append record" was "Shift + R" (or "Shift + click the record button"). In response to user feedback, this was reversed so that recording to the same tr...
