Re: lose sound
The simplest way to get the sound back is to shut down the computer, disconnect the turntable and reboot. A better way to fix the problem is to go into the Windows Control Panel and in "Sounds and Audio Devices" set the default recording and playback devices to your sound card (Windows aut...

Re: Exporting as a .wav file
Audacity 1.3.9 is *much* better than the old 1.2.6 version so I would suggest that you stick with this (until the next release comes out, then you may want to update - it's free of course :) ) So you have your recording... 1) For best compatibility with other software, look to the "Project Rate...

Re: i seem to have found a glitch in audaity
As usual I have no idea what you are actually asking
What do you mean "doing an lp"?
What do you mean "finding the high point in the song"?
"either the orchestra is too loud or the vocalist is" ???
Do you mean that you are trying to set the recording level?

Re: Audacity.exe has stopped working
That's a hard drive error.
Are you running short of disk space?
Have you checked your hard drive for errors and defragmented it lately?

Re: Windows 7
I like very much the ability to shift the location of the different icons in the taskbar. That's been available on Linux for a long time. There is a quite a good guide for optimising Vista for recording, and I assume that much of it will also apply to Windows 7. http://www.audioforums.com/windows-v...

Re: How to remove treble clef...
A "treble clef" is a notation symbol. What do you mean "Is there any way you can remove the treble clef"? Do you mean "Tipex"? or do you mean "can you remove notes above a certain pitch? If you mean the latter, then no, you can't do that in Audacity and I know of n...
