Re: Song overlap at end of track
The Windows "Nightly" version is a bit less regular than "nightly" (I think they compile it manually while the Mac version is compiled automatically). If the fix has not made it's way to the current Windows Nightly version, it should be there very soon. Also, I expect that Audaci...

Re: I don't seem to have a 'line-in' to record from
Do you have "Creative Mixer" installed? It is included in the software for all SoundBlaster cards and has an icon near the time/date (usually also a link in the Start menu).
Re: vocals
My problem is with the vocal part of the track. It seems as if the singer is singing out of a tin can and I don't know how to correct this. Can someone help? I'm guessing that they are not singing out of a tin can. So perhaps you could tell us how you are recording them (what equipment, what operat...

Re: "Software playthrough" in Beta version
If it can be done on version 1.2.x, you should be able to do it in 1.3.x I've heard of virtual audio cable (even used it briefly many years ago), but I'm not sufficiently familiar with it to know how it needs to be set up. You may not actually need to use software playthrough, it may be possible to ...

Re: Recording from an amplifier
It's probably a sound card setting rather than an Audacity setting that needs adjusting. Have a look here and see if this helps: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... ng_devices

Re: How to remove noise/crackling thats only in the voice
One more vote for "put up with what you've got". You can only go so far with noise reduction before the cure is worse than the illness. Someone has already taken the noise reduction as far at it can go without the damage being worse than the hiss. On top of that, 22kHz sample rate and MP3 ...

Re: Cursor problems
I haven't used audacity in several years and have just installed the beta version on my Macbook pro w Mac OS X. I'm not a spokesperson, just an Audacity user, but welcome back anyway ;) I'm sure you'll find a lot of improvements once you've got over the shock of "hey it's different!" When...

Re: Audacity freezing while recording more than one track.
It is a misleading message. Audacity has detected that the recording has stopped, but is not aware that it stopped prematurely. If Audacity tries to use two different Hosts at the same time, then recording will stop within a few seconds and you will see that message. The message is actually correct ...
