If you've not done so already, start a new topic with all the details.

Re: "Snap To" Trouble

Is there a way to change the time interval? For example, if I had a 120 BPM loop, 120/60 seconds in a minute = 0.5, so could I have it snap the the nearest 0.5 of a second, or every beat? There is a "Feature Request" for "Snap to: Beats" on the wiki Feature Request page: http://...

Re: Extracting accompaniment

I've just tested Knockout on Audacity 1.3.11 alpha (Nightly http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... tly_Builds ) and it works fine. You may need to set Audacity Preferences to rescan the VST plugins.

Re: Error Message about project sample rate and input device

Open "Sounds and Audio Devices" in the Windows Control Panel and carefully check all the settings - note that you need to go into "Options" and "Advanced" to check some of the settings.

Re: cleaning up temp files

Check your Exported file, there's a chance it may be corrupt. Exporting very long files can be problematic and slow. With very long recordings it is generally better to select shorter sections (say 1 hour) and use "Export Selection". Audacity should automatically detect if there are any te...

Re: downsampling from 16kHz to 8kHz

In other words you suggest me to downsample from 16kHz to 7kHz rather than to 8kHz? No. The article is saying that there is a very marked increase in intelligibility if the audio bandwidth is increased from 3.3kHz (typical in telephony) to 7kHz. To achieve an audio bandwidth of 7kHz requires a samp...

Re: Setting defaults for raw files

Do you have ffmpeg installed? With ffmpeg installed you may be able to just import the raw file and the format be automatically detected.
