Re: Randomly stops recording-very frustrating!
If you are you using a USB audio interface it could be a USB problem. If so, try a different USB socket, avoid using USB hubs and avoid stressing the computer while recording (shut down all non-essential applications and processes).

Re: Windows 7
For Windows 7 (until Audacity 2 is released) use the "Nightly build" of Audacity.

Re: DVD-Audio
There are dvd-audio players out there. There are, but they are not very common - do you have one/intend to buy one? Roxio Easy Media Creator won't do it. DVD Audio Tools will (and is free) http://dvd-audio.sourceforge.net/ What is the file format for that? Many different formats are supported: http...

That scanner is installed and running by default, so I'm assuming that it has failed to pick up this nasty little beasty.kozikowski wrote:Microsoft has a very nice scanner, too.

Check out the "Tips" and "Tutorials" links at the top of this page - there's a good range of useful information to help you get started with the program. Note that the 1.2.6 version is now very old and can be unreliable on modern systems so you will probably be better following t...

Did you download the Zip version of Lame and extract the contents to the Audacity program folder?

Re: Extracting accompaniment
Audacity 1.3.10 has a little bug that affects "Export Multiple" and "Export Selection" (it incorrectly increases the length of the selection to the next 5 second mark). If you use either of these features you should update to Audacity 1.3.11 which has this bug fixed. You can get ...

Re: Lead In Measure
Yes of course, though I usually use a couple of bars. There's several ways you can do this - here's one method. Use "Click Track" from the Generate menu to generate the required number of bars at the required tempo. If you already have one or more tracks in the project, select the tracks a...

Re: does not find MP3 encoder
By default, the LAME encoder is in c:program fileslame for audacity. So, from within the find library dialog box I go there to find the library, which actually is there. But when I try to load the file, nothing happens. It still says "library not found" I don't know why but this seems to ...
