Re: vocals
I'm getting lost at a crucial point: 1) You record the record into Audacity - it sounds great while you are recording? 2) You play back the recording in Audacity - it still sounds great? 3) You play back the recording in WMP and the vocal sounds like a tin can ... Have I got (1) and (2) right? How d...

Re: Local browser for help
Where did you download Audacity from? (exact page would be useful so that we can check the download) In your programs folder do you have only one Audacity installation folder, or do you have any previous versions installed? Try completely uninstalling Audacity and manually delete any Audacity folder...

Re: Cross Fade
Probably worth mentioning; There is a slight glitch in Audacity Nyquist that can sometimes cause a "click" when tracks are mixed down even if waveforms match up seamlessly. With current implementation, if only part of a track is being processed, Nyquist plug-ins will sometimes split the tr...

Re: Audacity recordind from digital or analogue?
Have you not considered the digital loopback yourself? You mentioned you use a stereo loopback; have you not considered buying a USB card with digital I/O and looping back with an optical cable? On the rare occasions that I use Windows I find that the analogue loopback with the UCA-202 USB is perfe...

Re: effects tab in preferences
Exactly which version of Audacity are you using (Help menu > About Audacity) and which version of Windows?
Have you tried resetting Audacity Preferences? http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... defaults_2

Re: numbering tracks
OK, I see. In that case it may be worth mentioning not to use Audacity 1.3.10 (because of the Export Multiple bug).
Audacity 1.3.9 or 1.3.11 should be OK.
1.3.11 is available here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... tly_Builds

Re: DVD-Audio
SUPER supports AC3. I could be mistaken but it is just too small to see. Perhaps you could use the Windows Screen Magnifier ( Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility) Something else that may be worth checking - My DVD player supports MP3s on DVD-R disks (written as normal data disks). You...

Re: numbering tracks
Some CD burning software (for example Nero) can produce gapless tracks from multiple files, so it may not be necessary to Export as one continuous file.billw58 wrote:Finally, you'll need to mix it down to one stereo track.
