Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
I'm having trouble with the De-Clicker crashing if I try to process over an hour of audio at once. Is it possible to fix this? Paul wrote in the first post: I treat typically no more than a half hour at once. I'd suggest that you take that as a recommendation, though you could try asking him to fix...

Re: Having computer audio issues.
1. Ensure that you use headphones so that your computer mic does not pick up the speakers.
2. Set the "Recording device" to your microphone in the Device Toolbar.
3. Set the "Playback device" to your headphones.

Re: How to record each step into a macro
You can apply a macro to multiple files as a batch process, so long as all of the files that you want to process are in the same directory. More info here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/macros.html I am making labels from 1800 audio files with the duration as start and stop and saving them as ...

Re: which audio music format can I use to burn a cd which plays on phillips CD sound machine model AZ 2020/00 220V-230V
According to the on-line manual (https://download.p4c.philips.com/files/a/az2020_00/az2020_00_dfu_eng.pdf) it looks like it only supports "audio CD". Note that when you create a CD, the CD burning program usually has an option to select either "Audio CD" or "Data CD" - ...

Re: Vinyl ripping and constant BPM
DJ decks typically have variable speed, and may use "slipmats" rather than the rubber mat typical on hi-fi record decks, both of which could contribute to variations in tempo. If it's not an audible distraction to enjoyment of the music, then it's not really a problem is it?

Re: What amp mic do you use?
So, then if I wanted to go a different route from the SM58, would you suggest the SM57 or the Sennheiser e609? If it's for mic'ing up your guitar cab, the SM58, SM57 and e609 are all good choices. The SM58 is a good general purpose dynamic mic, that is especially well suited to live vocals and is e...

Re: Where is the help on this arrow restriction?
This issue drove me to dig deeper and discover how to get back to recording another take a lot faster with this sequence. 1/ press the space bar to stop the recording. 2/ press ctrl+Z to erase the most recent recording attempt (make sure prior takes are saved to disk). 3/ press Shift+R to restart r...

Re: What amp mic do you use?
The Shure SM58 is a very well known "industry standard" microphone for stage use (live performance). They have reasonable sound quality, pretty good "feedback rejection", and most importantly for a stage mic, they are very tough and can stand up to the rigours of life on the road...

Re: In Fedora FFmpeg support not compiled in
i have error in audacity: FFmpeg support not compiled inI (I assume that the final word should be "in".) That's telling you that your version of Audacity cannot use FFmpeg. FFmpeg is an optional component that helps Audacity to support import / export of more file types. If you are only u...
