Re: No playback?
That's not much space for doing audio recording so it is definitely worth seeing if you can clear more space on the C: drive. On Windows you should have at least 10% free space at all times. Recording will typically use around 700MB for 30 minutes of stereo audio and if you do any audio processing t...

Re: As a programmer, where exactely to start to help audacit
There's some useful links on the Audacity wiki home page: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Audacity_Wiki_Home_Page All development is currently on the 1.3 version of Audacity, so a good place to start is building Audacity from the CVS repository - see here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/in...

Re: Copying Issues
In Audacity each audio track may have its own sample rate. When you record a track it will use the default rate for the Audacity Project, but if you Import an existing file the sample rate of that track will be whatever the sample rate of the file was. For example, if your project sample rate is 441...

Re: Help With Noise Removal In Classical Piano Piece
Another little "trick" that may help: Use Audacity 1.3.x and make a copy of your "noise only" sample onto a new track (select, then Ctrl+D) Amplify the copied noise by +6dB. Use the amplified noise to create your "noise profile" in the Noise Removal effect. Now apply No...

Re: Audacity is not opening music correctly
f i remember correctly, said you can covert just about any audio file extention to any other audio file extention... I think you may be mixing up Audacity with another program. I don't think Audacity has ever claimed to be a good file format converter. However, if you use Audacity 1.3 and have ffmp...

Re: Problem recording more than one track
Look for a loudspeaker icon near the Time/Date on your Desktop. This gives you access to the sound card mixer/control panel. From there you can set which Input your sound card uses for recording. Currently you have it set to "Stereo Mix" (it may be called "What U Hear"). You need...

How are you recording these albums? A USB turntable?
Try moving the Audacity track "Pan" slider all the way to the left, then all the way to the right - this should play your recording through one speaker then the other. Can you hear the fiddle when listening to just one speaker?
