Re: 1.3.10 delete to end: change in display causes more work
There is a very minor issue that relates to this which I think IS a bug: 1) Create a track 2) Click on the track at around 10 seconds 3) Zoom in on the cursor 4) Delete the track The cursor is now "stuck" at around 10 seconds. ("Skip to Start" button is not available because ther...

Re: Fixing a niece's birthday song!
The "Leveller" effect in Audacity 1.3 can be used for creating distortion.
Gverb can be used to make the sound more distant.
The Equalizer effect can be used to adjust the "tone" of the recording.

Re: 1.3.10 default timer change to 1 hr is annoying
A 4th option would be to have a "preference" in the audacity.cfg file without an option in the Preferences interface. I would expect that the 1 hour default is a reasonable value for the majority of users that use this feature (this is the first complaint that I've seen about it). For user...

Re: 1.3.10 delete to end: change in display causes more work
Is it a problem or a feature? If you select the entire track and zoom then zoom to the end of the track and delete the selection, it is reasonable to expect that the user was wanting to see the part of the track that has been zoomed. With the old behaviour the view would refresh and the zoomed regio...

Re: Plugins
VST plug-ins, in particular, need the VST Enabler plug-in to be installled. Correction - in current versions of Audacity 1.3 the VST Enabler plug-in is NOT required. In fact it should not usually be used as it can cause effects to appear twice in the menu and interfere with the correct operation of...
