Removing lyrics only works sometimes (often only partial removal is possible). It works more often with WAV files than with MP3s, but it's still worth a shot.

p.s. when I opened the 'about audacity' under help it still says it is 1.3.10, am I not downloading the correct file? You probably have downloaded the correct file but not "installed" it correctly. Actually, it doesn't need "installing" - just extract the contents of the file so...

Understood, but don't fight too hard - there's a lot of big improvements in 1.3 (and some things are a lot easier in 1.3 than in 1.2). Perhaps when Audacity 2.0 comes out will be a good time to upgrade.jackwv wrote:I am also staying with Audacity 1.2.6 since familiar with it and fight change.

Two mono tracks cancel each other out. That should not happen (unless you are doing something to make it happen). It could be that something is wired up the wrong way round.
