Re: MP3 exports falter and restart in iTunes, iPod
Next I'll try to figure out how to use the silence finder as a way to speed up locating and spiting the tracks and then Pop & Click removal. It may be better to look at those in the reverse order. The silence finder works a lot better after clicks and pops have been removed. Good luck with your...

Re: Working Playthrough on Windows without delay?
I'm just using whatever's in my computer... You're probably in luck then. Look for a loudspeaker icon near to the Time/Date on your Desktop - that gives access to the sound card mixer - there's lots of "hidden" options so explore thoroughly. If the icon is not there, you can get to the sa...

Re: How to change from .dvf to wav...
"Switch" is a 14 day trial after which some formats are disabled. "SUPER" is free, but I'm not sure if it supports .dvf (a pretty obscure format). (SUPER supports LOTS of formats for both video and audio and even allows you to rip audio streams from video files). Sony supply a pl...

Re: Audacity crashes when I use noise removal.
Almost enough
In Audacity look in "Help > About Audacity" for the full version.
This was a known problem around 1.3.3 / 1.3.5
The latest "nightly" version seems to be the best version yet and is available here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... tly_Builds

Re: Working Playthrough on Windows without delay?
It depends on your hardware. If you are using a conventional sound card then hardware playthrough is almost certainly available on Windows XP (use the sound card mixer to enable playback of the input that you are using). If you are using a USB microphone then hardware playback is not available becau...

Re: Windows 7 - no sound thru' speakers
Not sure if this will work in Windows 7....
Open "Paint" (do Microsoft still include that little program?)
Press the "PrintScreen" button on your keyboard (copies the screen to the clipboard)
Paste (from clipboard) into Paint.
Save as a jpg or png file.

I've no idea what they are talking about. Try asking the author/publisher, or refer to the Audacity documentation: http://audacityteam.org/help/documentation

Re: Windows 7 - no sound thru' speakers
and still the "inverted" waveform, I'm not sure what you mean by that - can you post a screenshot? See here for enabling audio devices (Vista often switches them off and hides them by default) http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Windows_Vista_OS#Using_the_Control_Panel_to_select....
