Re: Stereo Mix Record Problem :/
"Stereo Mix" will record what your sound card is playing. Open the sound card mixer (on Windows this is usually available from a loudspeaker icon near the time/date - if not there, look in the "Sounds" section of the Windows Control Panel) and lower the playback volume and/or the...

Re: exporting after resampling
You need a CD-G editor program to merge the MP3 file with the MCG file. If you've not got a suitable program it may be worth trying "CDG Editor" from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdgeditor/files/ I've not tried that program, but it's free and open-source so it will cost you nothin...

Re: Copying settings between projects
There's no really easy way, but you could create a "template" project. Take a project that is set up the way that you want it, (including track names, pan and volume faders etc.) then press Ctrl+A (select all) Ctrl+K or the "Del" key (delete). This will leave you with empty track...

Disclaimer: This is my take, not an "official line", and does not necessarily reflect the views of other people involved with Audacity or this forum. Yes you can but we (the forum moderators) don't tend to encourage it because we already get about a thousand spam posts each week to deal wi...

Re: HOW DO YOU USE THE LATENCY ADJUSTMENT?
and i still get that 1 second delay... Switch off "Software Playthrough" - if you're using a recent version of Audacity 1.3 you can switch it off in the Transport menu. In older versions you need to go into Preferences. The downside is that if you are using a USB microphone, then you will...

Re: Graphic Equalizer
Most VST host programs will, for example Cubase and Sonar, but these are not free. I think Wavosaur will (free but not open source and not multi-track) Reaper can (not free, not open source, but inexpensive and excellent unrestricted demo). I'm on Linux, so I use Audacity for editing, but if I need ...

Re: Multiple Export of MP3
Reading the web site suggests a very powerful bit of software Yes it is, but the interface takes a bit of getting used to and it's a horrible link jungle trying to download the program - but it's effective and free, so you can't really complain. Somme format conversions take a bit of fiddling to ma...

Re: Mp3 and Wav exports have and annoying feeback sound
I've done a couple of experiment to give an objective comparison of the Audacity export vs the GarageBand export. The MP3 format does not specify the beginning and end of tracks exactly. In brief, this is because MP3 works with overlapping blocks of data, so the audio for any part of the audio file ...
