Re: Saving audacity project (aup)

Re: Background Noise when recording from USB Turntable (Pro-

I presume that this is the noise you mean? (amplified) 07-Im-Worried-noise.wav Perhaps someone would like to offer a second opinion, but I think that it's possibly power-supply noise. Are you recording on a laptop? If so, try running from batteries with the mains adaptor disconnected. Are there any ...

Re: Audacity crashes when I use noise removal.

I checked my prefrences, and I unchecked "Display VST effects in GUI mode" which is what I think you meant (Is it? What is "GUI"?). GUI = Graphical User Interface. No, I meant try removing the tick from "Enable Effects > VST" This will completely disable VST support (y...

Re: Unzip tone control file ?

Sorry it requires Audacity 1.3 Audacity 1.3 is not any more "difficult" to use than the old 1.2 version, in fact you can have both versions installed on your machine at the same time as long as you only use them one at a time. Audacity 1.3 can open projects made with 1.2, but Audacity 1.2 ...

Re: Installing a second device

Try plugging the Tape2USB into a different USB socket. Is it recognised? If not try rebooting the computer. If that works, use "Safely remove hardware" and disconnect the Tape2USB. Then try it again in the original USB socket. Do both the Tape2USB and the turntable have their own USB leads...

Re: budget (usb) mic for classical guitar recording needed

they have this ART preamp tempting aren't they ;) So, unless I buy just the preamp, and use a mic made of air, immediately followed by reality check :( There's also this (much cheaper) t.bone micplug, I've not tried those - looks interesting, and being Thomann it's likely to be great price:quality ...

Re: Poor Quality Sound Recording

The UFO-202 is basically the same as the UCA-202 but with a phono pre-amp added for use with turntables. It is a complete USB sound card and does not require any other sound card to be present in your computer. To use it with a cassette player there is a switch on the UFO-202 that allows switching b...
