Re: Export Multiple Creates Really Long Last Track!
A few months back I tried 1.3 (can't remember which specific version) and I had more problems with it using Vista than I currently have with 1.2.6. Just sayin'. . . . That's the thing about beta software - it comes without any guarantees. Because it is "pre-production", some releases can ...

Re: splicing mixer channels
...please tell me that i've not blown up everything... I don't think that you've blown anything, I think that you are just experiencing the true (bad) quality of the built-in sound card. If you'd blown something it would most probably not work at all. Are we talking about a laptop computer or a ful...

Re: splicing mixer channels
It is certainly not a good thing to do, but I think that it is fairly unlikely to cause real harm. There should be current limiting on the microphone voltage to prevent it from blowing anything up. Why do you ask? Is there a problem?

I also tested with VLC ...ulrichburke wrote:I was just testing it using VLC
VLC does not make any sound when you play really short files (wrong)
Tested with MPlayer, and the 0.007 second file plays a click (correct)

I think that's the best you can do.
Why do you want to do that?

Re: Can't record really SHORT track!
sounds like this might be an inherent limitation of the WAV format? Nope. I've just Exported 0.007 seconds of audio as a WAV file using Audacity 1.2.6 and it's perfect. I suspect the problem is not that there is anything wrong with the WAV file, but that whatever media player it is being tested on ...

Re: Tone generator problem
Is there a lower limit to the tone frequency that can be generated? There appears to be a lower limit when using the built in Generator function of 1Hz. However, you can use the built in scripting language (Nyquist) to produce lower frequencies. To create a tone of 0.7Hz and 1.42857 seconds duratio...
